Kaa Zan is the duo of Khaled Al Safadi and Jad Kaddour, originally from Damascus and now residents of Amsterdam. Mu Insaaf is their debut release. 'Kaa-Zan' is a commonly used word in the Syrian dialect which represents two pieces cylinders water boiler that works on diesel and fill the surrounding with its unique noisy sounds. They were used by the Syrian regime to bomb civilians, filled with explosives and dropped from helicopters. With this track they wish to bring back this weapon war to its original purpose. Majd Alchehayed, a trumpet player influenced by both Oriental tunes and electronic music, has also brought his touch to the track.
