Simon Abou Assali is a Damascene multi instrumentalist based in France. He co-founded “MaBRaD” band in his early twenties as a composer and songwriter. Simon built the “C-Mon Studio” in Damascus in 2002, which was a meeting point for young musicians and many indie Syrian bands. In 2015, he embarked on the back of a rubber boat and fled to Greece from where he travelled on foot by land all the way to France. His music is an attempt to translate his emotions throughout this experience and throughout the biggest journey of his life. “Oriental Lord” is a progressive track, merging sounds into a new surprising language.
